What Is a Self-Pour Taproom? Everything You Need to Know

If you've never been to a self-pour taproom, you're in for a treat. Here's how it works and why it's becoming the preferred way to enjoy craft beer.

What Is Self-Pour?

A self-pour taproom puts you in control. Instead of ordering from a bartender, you walk up to a wall of taps and pour your own drinks. At Sol's, we have 21 rotating taps featuring craft beers, ciders, seltzers, and sours from local NC breweries and beyond.

How It Works at Sol's

  1. Get Your Wristband — Check in at the counter and receive an RFID wristband linked to your tab.
  2. Tap & Pour — Walk up to any of our 21 taps, tap your wristband on the sensor, and pour.
  3. Pay by the Ounce — You only pay for exactly what you pour. Want just a sip? That's fine. Want a full pint? Go for it.

Why People Love It

  • Try everything — Sample small pours from all 21 taps without committing to a full glass.
  • No waiting — Skip the bar line. Your beer is always just a tap away.
  • No waste — Don't like something? You only poured an ounce. Try the next one.
  • Fresh & rotating — Our taps change weekly, so there's always something new.

Come Try It

Sol's self-pour taproom is open Tuesday through Sunday. Stop in and experience it for yourself — your first pour is always the best one.
